Description

Number 52 Street is a town house with an undercroft, likely rebuilt in the early 20th century. It is situated on Watergate Street in Chester. The building is constructed of brown brick with a grey slate roof and a gable front. It is three storeys high. The former Row level now features a modern glazed office front. The upper storeys each have two recessed two-pane sashes with painted stone sills and wedge lintels. Corbelled brick verges define the gable. The rear gable-end has a glazed door, a two-pane recessed sash on the first storey, a four-pane recessed sash and a small window on the second storey, and a four-pane recessed sash on the third storey, all with painted stone sills and wedge lintels. The interior contains no features of particular architectural interest. The building is included on the list for its group value.
