Description
The building is a cross base and lock-up, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from yellow sandstone ashlar. The structure features a square base that is elevated on nine steps, with a flat wall replacing the rear five steps. There is a central doorway, which is now blocked, leading to the lock-up that is incorporated within the base. At the top of the structure, there is a cross with a square shaft and slightly wedge-shaped arms and head.
