Description

This well, located in the garden 25 metres south of Walmoor House, was built around 1897 by the architect John Douglas. It is constructed from rock-faced sandstone and features a recess in a rocky bank that contains a rectangular pool. The well has a coursed sandstone face with canted wing-walls. Originally, it had a finial that bore a statue, which is now broken.
