Description
Old Hough Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof along with a small area of timber framing. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, forming an "H" shape in plan.
At the ground floor, there is a projecting two-storey porch made of brickwork, which has a stone-dressed opening with a Tudor arch. The first floor of the porch showcases restored timber framing. The ground floor includes three-light flush casements with stone sills and cambered arches, while the first floor has flat arches. The main facade and the porch gables are adorned with barge boards and finials, and there is a red tile ridge.
Inside, the farmhouse features Ovolo moulded and cased beams, as well as Victorian four-panel doors.
