Description
This is a row of mid-18th century terraced townhouses, comprising numbers 61 to 64 on The Green in Norton. The buildings are constructed of brick with a two-course string and eaves band, and have pantiled roofs with raised verges to numbers 61 and 62, where brick kneelers are also present. Three brick chimneys are visible. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with flat arches on the ground floor. Number 64 is a separate build from number 63 and features a small blocked window on its first floor. Numbers 61 and 62 have four-panel doors with a narrow light above, while the doorway to number 64 has a timber lintel. A wide passage runs through the right side of number 62, leading to a yard shared with numbers 56 and 57. At the rear of numbers 63 and 64 is a hipped, pantiled stable building. Numbers 63 and 64 are slightly stepped down from numbers 61 and 62.
