Description

The gate piers to the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter were built in 1706 and feature the initials WFS. They were restored in 1920, with an inscription located on the rear of the east pier. Constructed from sandstone ashlar, the piers are square and exhibit bolster rustication. They have a chamfered plinth and moulded caps topped with ball finials on swept bases. Originally, these gate piers were located on the west side of the churchyard.
