Description
Nos. 4 and 6 Wensleydale Terrace are a pair of houses built in 1821. They are constructed of brick in English Cross Bond with cut stone dressings. No. 6 features a Welsh slate roof, while the roof of No. 4 is obscured by a 20th-century coating. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of six bays, with each house having three slightly irregular bays and a central door. They have a stone plinth and feature six-panel doors with radial fanlights set in archivolts, which display the date and possibly the initials "W" on the keystone. No. 6 has 16-pane sash windows, while No. 4 has 20th-century metal-framed plate-glass sashes, all with wedge lintels. The roofs are hip-ended with a central common stack, and there is a contemporary outshut at the rear. No. 4 is included for its group value.
