Description
Duddo House is a house built between 1820 and 1830, constructed from ashlar stone with a plinth and topped with a Scottish slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, featuring angle pilaster strips. The central entrance consists of a glazed door surrounded by an architrave, which is flanked by pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice above. The ground floor has 12-pane sash windows with projecting sills, while the first floor features a sill band. A cornice band runs along the top of the building, and the roof is hipped with a large banded ridge stack.
To the right, there are two bays that lead to a lower three-bay service wing. A large porch with six wooden Corinthian columns, which were brought from an Edinburgh club in the 1960s, enhances the entrance.
