Description

Isaac's Well is a wellhead dated 1849, located in Allendale Town's marketplace. It is made of stone and cast iron. The well features a large irregular stone trough, which is cut from a single block of gritstone and is fed by a cast-iron pipe. There are remains of a bucket stand present. To the right, a second stone tank is incorporated into the wall, beneath a stone that has a sunk elliptical-arched panel inscribed with 'ISAACS WELL' and the date below it.
