Description

70 and 70A Church Street are a building and a row of cottages, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. Number 70 faces the street and has a pebble-dashed exterior with a steeply pitched roof. It features two double-sash windows on the ground floor and one single and one double sash window above. An old brick chimney is also present. At the rear of number 70, down a narrow lane, are the cottages numbered 70A, 70B, 70C, 70D, and 70E. These cottages are two storeys high and have sash windows under a pantiled roof. The listed buildings on the east side of Church Street, from numbers 50 to 76 inclusive, form a group.
