Description

The windmill at the north end of Bamburgh Castle is a mid-18th century structure built for Dr. Sharpe, who was the chairman of the Crewe Trustees. It is constructed of ashlar and features a lead roof. The windmill has three storeys and a round, tapering profile. The ground floor has a boarded and battened door, while the upper levels are adorned with various small, four-pane, segment-headed windows. At the top, it is capped with a low pyramidal roof.
