Description

Beadnell Harbour piers are 18th-century structures that were extended in 1798 for John Wood of Beadnell Hall. They are made of large blocks of squared stone and consist of two L-plan piers, each approximately 50 yards long, which create a small harbour. The piers were extended to facilitate the export of lime from nearby kilns and herring from a now-demolished drying house.
