Description

The walls and gate piers at Warkworth Station were built around 1850. They are made of squared tooled stone with cut dressings. Steps leading up to the station portico are flanked by garden gates, and there are square piers with chamfered plinths and pyramidal caps. The serpentine walls are 0.6 metres high and feature pitched coping. The wall on the left has an opening to a yard and continues for a short distance alongside the road. This structure is included for its group value.
