Description
Castle Hills House is a Gothic Revival building, dating to an unknown period, situated on Paxton Road. The house has two main storeys, with a high basement below. A central glazed door is located on the first floor, accessed by a double flight of steps with an iron railing. There are two windows on each side of the door, and three above. A verandah covers the main floor and basement, supported by tall, slender iron columns with Chinese-patterned spandrels. A similar elaborate balcony and verandah extend from the top floor. At each end of the house are four-storeyed square towers featuring sash windows and roundels, with some Gothic tracery.
