Description

A group of five telephone kiosks is located on the east side of the Town Hall at the junction of Corporation Street and Denning Street. These kiosks were designed in the mid-20th century by G G Scott and are of the K6 model. They are made of cast iron and painted red. Each kiosk features shallow segmental-gabled sides and a saucer-domed roof. Three sides have glazed panels and doors with margin lights, topped by a narrow overlight that has been renewed. The fourth side is blank. Each gable includes a bas-relief crown. The telephone equipment was renewed around 1987.
