Description

The piers and wall to the garden of Grove House, dating from around 1826, are made of sandstone grit. Two chamfered piers feature top moulding and octagonal domed coping, marking the entrance to the garden located to the southwest of Grove House. The garden is enclosed by a flat-coped wall constructed of coursed squared sandstone, which has a brick inner leaf, with the exception of a break for the vegetable garden on the south side. The vegetable garden is surrounded by high sandstone rubble walls that have gabled coping and are ramped up from the garden wall.
