Description

The war memorial in Annfield Plain Park was built around 1919 and is possibly made of Portland stone. It features a tall pylon topped with a scroll-moulded design and a recessed labelled band. The memorial stands on a moulded plinth and steps that have raised centre sections. The names of the fallen from Annfield Plain in both world wars are inscribed in dark letters on the narrow sides and all sides of the plinth, which also includes decorative elements of a sword and a wreath.
