Description

Rosedale Manor is a vicarage, now a private house, dating to around 1840. It is constructed of coursed, squared sandstone with a plinth, projecting quoins, and ashlar dressings. The rear wing and attached outbuildings are of rubble construction, and the roof is covered in Welsh slate. The house is arranged in a U-shaped plan.

The main block is two storeys high and three bays wide. A four-step approach leads to a central four-panel door, which has a decorative surround of pilasters and an entablature with a prominent cornice, as well as an overlight. The sash windows are fitted with glazing bars and have plain stone surrounds and sill bands. The hipped roof has wide eaves and a low, wide corniced chimney stack without pots.

To the right return is a two-storey, single-bay wing; to the left return, a single-storey, single-bay wing has a monopitch roof.
