Description
Kinley Hill Tower is a gazebo designed in the form of a squat tower, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from random limestone rubble with sandstone window surrounds and has a square plan featuring Gothick details. The tower stands two storeys high and has one bay. Attached to the west is a ruinous projecting porch, and to the east is a ruinous privy and midden. There are two ground floor doorways with segmental heads, while the doorway on the south side is partly blocked. The north wall is blank, and the other three walls have single first-floor lancet windows with chamfered reveals beneath pointed hoodmoulds. The tower features a slightly projecting battlemented parapet, and the interior is gutted. At the time of the survey, the structure was derelict.
