Description
The barn at Pentwyn is a Grade II listed structure built from rubble stone with a slate roof. It features a full-height opening in the center, flanked by two vent loops on the right and a door in a red brick surround on the left, along with one additional vent loop. The west end wall has three vent loops, while the east end includes a lean-to covered with some stone tiles. There is a pig-sty arch on the south end. The north side, which faces the farmyard, is similar but has an added projecting rubble stone pent porch. It also has two blocked loops to the right, a rubble stone lean-to pigsty with a tin roof to the left, and another loop beyond.
Inside, the barn has a tall interior featuring four tie-beam and collar trusses along with double purlins.
