Description
Ty-Gwyn is a farmhouse constructed primarily of stone with a mainly stone-tiled roof. It features three main sections: a 16th-century gabled block on the left, a 17th-century block at right angles, and a likely 19th-century block at the rear.
The 17th-century block has two windows on the first floor, consisting of a 2-light window and a 3-light window. There is a doorway beneath a wooden porch, which has a blocked window to the left, and a 2-light window towards the right. The right gable of this block includes a broad window on each floor, both situated under a drip stone; the upper window retains a central diamond mullion, while the ground floor has modern glazing.
The gable of the 16th-century block on the left features a tall square corbelled chimney, a tiny attic window, and a 4-light window on the ground floor. The left return of this block has a dormer set across the eaves and two ground floor windows, one of which may have been a former doorway. There is also another stone chimney at the rear and a flat-roofed extension. The rear 19th-century block has a window under a drip mould, a former chimney breast, and a 3-pane over 6-pane hornless sash window facing east.
