Description

Radio Rentals is a three-storey building featuring a three plus four window arrangement. The front is rendered up to the second floor, with rusticated detailing on the first floor and channelled work on the ground floor. It has sill bands and a plinth. The roof is slate, hipped at the right end, with bracket eaves and cement rendered chimney stacks at the ends. Quoins are present at the left end, and there are keyblocked architraves with deeply faceted keystones. The windows are horned four-pane sash types, except for the first floor center of the Caradog Arms Hotel, which has a casement window. The sill band on the second floor to the right is stepped up, and the ground floor features more pronounced keystones. There is a broad central doorway and an additional door to the left; the two middle windows have broad sills and panels below. A modern shop front for Radio Rentals is present, but it retains a 19th-century scribed end pilaster to the right. The right end has a splayed corner with similar detailing and windows, and a shop window occupies the former corner doorway. The side elevation has two windows and is similar in style, with quoins at the far end, a stepped-up first-floor sill band, and shop windows flanked by scribed pilasters.
