Description
4 Gloucester Place is a three-storey building with a basement, featuring cemented and roughcast fronts. Each house has two bays, with the right bay slightly projecting forward. The building is topped with slate roofs and has brick stacks positioned behind the parapet, which has moulded cappings. There is a cill band above the ground floor, and the basements are exposed rubble. The windows are sash style with small-frame glazing.
The left-hand side has arched and rusticated doorcases topped with traceried fanlights, although the fanlight for No 1 has been removed. The entrance features double two-panel doors that are accessed by flying platforms over railed areas.
At the time of inspection in spring 1986, the building was partly in poor condition.
