Description

5 Gloucester Place is a three-storey building with a basement, featuring cemented and roughcast fronts. Each house has two bays, with the right side slightly projecting forward. The slate roofs are topped with brick stacks that are set behind a parapet with moulded cappings. There is a cill band above the ground floor, and the basements are made of exposed rubble. The windows are sash style with small-frame glazing.

The left-hand side has arched and rusticated doorcases with traceried fanlights, although the fanlight for No 1 has been removed. The entrance features double two-panel doors that are accessed by flying platforms over railed areas.

At the time of inspection in spring 1986, the building was partly in poor condition.
