Description
This is a three-storey public house, likely dating from the 18th century. The building is rendered with stuccoed architraves, and has a slate roof, hipped to the north. The main elevation, facing The Struet, has three bays. The northernmost bay contains a single 16-pane sash window on the ground floor. The two central bays each have similar sash windows on both the first and second floors. The ground floor of the left-hand bay features a 16-pane sash window, while the middle bay has a round-headed doorway with a pediment, containing a six-panelled door and a semi-circular fanlight with radiating tracery. A small, windowless, splayed bay is situated on the corner. The north elevation has two windows; sash windows four panes wide on the second floor, five panes wide on the first, and two sash windows without glazing bars on the ground floor. To the rear, overlooking the River Honddu, are tall stair windows on both the second and first floors, alongside additional small-pane sash windows. A lean-to projects over the river on the ground floor. The interior public areas have been modernised.
