Description
Blaengwrthyd is a farmhouse constructed from rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It stands one and a half storeys tall and features a four-window range of renewed 12-pane sash windows, with the upper windows breaking through the eaves and having flat tops. The doorway is located in the third bay and has a 20th-century door with timber lintels. An exceptionally large external chimney-breast is positioned at the left end, featuring several steps on the right side and two steps on the left. To the right of the chimney, there is a lean-to that may have served as a bread oven. Attached to the right is a large, ruinous lofted byre, which has five doors, oak lintels, and square dips along the eaves that indicate where former loft windows were located; the roof of this structure is entirely gone. The property is not available for inspection.
