Description
The Lime Kiln at Sandy Haven is a large circular structure made of rubble stone, dating from the 19th century. It stands about 3 meters high and has a diameter of 6 meters, built into the southern bank with retaining walls. The northern front features additional wall thickness. On the east and west sides, there are large kiln eyes that are approximately 2 meters high, with curved sides that taper up to stone slab lintels, curving inwards to stoking holes. The open round crucible is in good condition.
