Description
The stable at Sandy Haven House is a lofted building dating from the 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features an asbestos-sheet roof with cement-coped gables. The east front has a double band of square dove-holes located under the eaves, and the ground floor includes a door flanked by narrow windows. The building has rough stone voussoirs. There is a loft light in the south gable, also with stone voussoirs, and outside steps that turn around the northeast angle to reach the loft door at the north end. This door has a brick head, and the loft light next to it is accompanied by stone voussoirs. At the rear, there is an added outshut with a window at the south end, featuring stone voussoirs.
