Description
Tredafydd Uchaf is a farmhouse that features roughcast walls and a slate roof with close eaves. It is one storey high with an attic. The building has a large stone ridge stack, a square stack at the right end, and a smaller stack at the left end, all equipped with dripstones. The structure is divided into two sections on either side of the ridge stack. The right section, likely the older part, includes two eaves-breaking 4-pane sash windows to the left beneath shallow gables, along with a 20th-century metal window on the ground floor, positioned on each side of a part-glazed door. The left window and the door are slightly aligned to the left of the dormer above. The rear of the building features two narrow dormers, one located on the eaves to the left and the other on the roof slope of a long outshut, which has a 12-pane sash window in its north end wall.
An outbuilding attached to the north end of the farmhouse has an asbestos roof and a roughcast front wall that extends forward of the house. This outbuilding includes one small window and a door on the south return. The north end wall and the rear of the outbuilding are made of rubble stone, with a rear door that has an oak lintel.
There is a left range of a similar size located downhill from the original house, which features a slight step in its front wall. This range has a similar eaves-breaking window to the right with a sash and shallow gable, and a stair window to the left with a tiny understair light below. There is also a small outbuilding at a right angle to this range. The rear of this range has one dormer on the eaves and lacks an outshut, with a door and a 20th-century ground floor window.
The property has not been inspected.
