Description

The garden wall at Quaintways is a Grade II listed structure, now facing the roadway of The Paragon. It is built from rubble with a rendered plinth and features decorative coping made from water-eroded rocks. The right end of the wall has tooled limestone quoins, while the left end connects to the rear of the town wall. Recessed within the wall, to the right of the center and against the left side of Quaintways, are a series of seven pointed niches with red brick heads and flush sills, including a taller niche in the center. The jambs and heads of these niches are splayed inwards, but the openings were never fully pierced through.
