Description
Crossfield is a double-fronted 1½-storey cottage built of brick, featuring a tile roof with overhanging eaves, plain barge boards, and finials, along with brick gable stacks. The front of the cottage has a central entrance that is topped by a shallow gabled lintel made of freestone, with a replacement door and a glazed panel. This entrance is flanked by three-light wooden casement windows that sit under segmental heads. Above these, there are two-light casements located under gabled half dormers, along with a small central window positioned beneath the eaves.
On the right gable end, there are segmental-headed casement windows on the right side of both storeys. The left gable end features a similar window on the right side in the upper storey. At the rear, there is a lean-to that retains an original boarded door and has a window to the right, along with a very small window beneath the eaves.
