Description
15 North Street is a pair of local stone houses with distinct masonry separating the two-window fronts. Number 13, to the right, is the earlier building, likely constructed around 1800, and features 20 storeys and a basement. Number 15, to the left, is also depicted on John Wood’s 1834 map and consists of 3 storeys made of neatly coursed rubble. Both buildings have slate roofs with rubble chimney stacks; the chimney stack on the right is cement rendered, and they feature narrow eaves.
Number 13 has 4-pane sash windows with deep lintels and a centrally located, deeply recessed doorway that includes a 6-panel door and a fanlight. Number 15 has 16-pane sash windows on the first and ground floors, and 8-pane pivot windows on the second floor, along with a 6-panel part-glazed door to the left. There are two modern windows on the right gable end and a 4-panel basement door. Number 13 previously had a short terrace extending to the rear, opposite the remaining part of Tanyrallt. Number 15 is slightly deeper and features 4-pane windows along with some modern windows.
