Description
Fferam Gorniog is an early 19th century farmhouse featuring a two-storey main section with three windows and a single-storey domestic wing at the rear. It has been extended by a lean-to addition on the west gable and a modern addition in the southwest corner. The building is constructed of rubble masonry, with the front elevation painted. It has a slate roof with rectangular stone stacks that have dripstones and capping. The main range has a two-unit plan, with a doorway located to the right of centre in a gabled porch, flanked by three-light small paned horizontally sliding sash windows with cambered heads. Above, there are three similar windows with timber lintels. The domestic wing features a large squat stack at the west gable, a rubble-built lean-to addition against the west wall, and a modern brick-built addition in the southwest angle. The interior has been modernised but still retains some original cross beams and timber lintels.
