Description
This is a simple long wall entry chapel with an attached chapel house to the south. The building dates to the 18th century. The chapel is constructed of grit-rendered stone with a pitched slate roof featuring crested ridge tiles. It has three round-headed windows with stressed architraves, each containing six panes, arranged two either side of the entrance. A small gabled porch with a round-headed door is located centrally. The attached two-storey chapel house has a two-window front, with a door to the right. The roofline is continuous with the chapel, featuring a chimney to the left gable and another at the division between the house and chapel. The chapel house has rendered walls, recent sash windows, and a ledged door.
The chapel interior is entered via a set fawr to the right. This area is rectangular and features opposing front entrances and sides formed by tongued and grooved panelling, with shaped splat balusters under a moulded rail and chamfered newel posts. The pulpit is canted, accessed by two steps, and features recessed diagonally-set tongued and grooved panels with moulded surrounds, a Lombard frieze, a moulded cornice, and chamfered newels on either side. The pews are arranged in three ranks with tongued and grooved panelling to the lower part of the painted plastered walls. Behind the pulpit is a recess framed by a stilted arch with advanced moulded sides, set on corbels. The ceiling is plastered with raking sides to moulded cornices.
