Description
Early 19th century stables, now converted to residential use, arranged in a U-shaped plan. The building is faced with painted harl, with polished margins and dressings. The main, north-west elevation features a projecting gable on the west wing, showcasing consoled skewputts. A segmental-arched cart arch, now glazed with French doors, is centrally placed. A loft window sits above the arch, and a small window is visible on the right return. A lean-to scullery extends from the centre of the north-west range, accompanied by a tall wallhead stack, and a window to the outer left. The north wing has a piend roof and a central window. Small-pane glazing is used throughout. The roof is covered in grey slate, with both piend and gabled sections. Gable and wallhead stacks are present. The stables are located within the grounds of Catter House and associated walled garden, which are listed separately. The statutory address is Catter House, Former Stables, and the property lies within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
