Description

Dinnet Bridge, built in 1935 by F A MacDonald and Sons from Glasgow, is a monumental Art Deco bridge made of reinforced concrete. It features triangular cantilevers that extend from square abutments, which support a central suspended span with gently curved shelves on the outer sides. The square abutments rise to create piers at the north and south ends, topped with low pyramidal coping. The bridge has wide parapets adorned with ridged vertical and horizontal incised decoration. There has been some refurbishment in the 21st century.
