Description
The ruins of the Old Parish Church of St Droston date from probably the late 17th century and are located within a roughly square graveyard that is enclosed by random rubble boundary walls. The church features complete east and west gables and a north wall that extends to the wallhead, with intermittent remains of the south wall. There is a window in the east gable, and the structure is made of random granite rubble.
The graveyard is surrounded by a random rubble enclosure and has an iron gate on the east side. Inside, there are various gravestones from the 18th and early 19th centuries, including a notable monument to Alexander Ross.
