Description
The Old Bridge at Gargunnock is a low, two-span bridge dating to circa 1775, built with shallow segmental arches and curved outwaters. It is constructed from rubble with roughly diagonally droved voussoirs. The overall span is approximately 45 feet, and the bridge features rubble abutments. A heavy metal footbridge, likely from the early 20th century, is positioned to the south. A stone bridge was originally built here in 1650 to serve the turnpike road. The bridge is prominently sited in the centre of the village.
