Description
The Bank of Scotland, located at 22-24 King Street in Stirling, is a building designed by D Hamilton of Glasgow around 1840. It features a late classical style with Italianate influences and is faced with ashlar stone, showcasing rich detailing. The building has a three-storey facade with five windows and twin Corinthian square-column porches at either end. A balustrade is present at the first floor, along with architraves, pediments, and consoles. The second floor is adorned with cornices and consoles, and there is a modillioned eaves course beneath a slated roof.
