45 King Street, Stiling

This building at 43 King Street in Stirling dates from the mid to late 19th century and is a late classical structure featuring four storeys and an attic. It has a three-window ashlar facade with lugged architraves, cornices at the first floor, and corbels under the cills at the second floor. The ground floor is occupied by a shop, and there is a close entrance to the rear at No. 45. The building also includes a main cornice and a blocking course, along with one straight fronted dormer that has a bow fronted slated roof. At the rear, there is a two-storey, four-bay wing, with the bay nearest the street being of earlier date, which is linked to a three-storey, three-bay house from the early to mid 19th century.
