Description
2 Southfield Crescent in Stirling is a later 19th-century Italianate building that features an asymmetrical design with two storeys and a basement, along with a prominent four-storey centre tower. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble and includes a canted bay that extends through all floors on the right side. The central bay has a segmentally-arched entrance porch with Corinthian-style detailing and railed steps leading up to it. Above the entrance, there is a single round-arched window on the first floor, a round-arched bipartite window on the second floor, and square-headed triplet windows at the top stage, all topped with a low-pitched pyramid roof. To the left, there is a plain, slightly set-back single window. The basement features large rock-faced coursers, and the building is topped with a piended slated roof. Additionally, there is a single-storey wing on the east gable, which is also rubble-built with a slated piended roof.
