Description

A stone sundial dated 1731 stands a short distance from the south-west elevation of Gargunnock House, a separately listed building. The sundial features a copper dial inscribed with the arms of Sir James Campbell of Ardkinglass. It is referenced in John Gifford and Frank Arneil Walker’s Buildings of Scotland, Stirling and Central Scotland (2002), and the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments Scotland (RCAHMS) inventory.
