Description
The Auchingilloch Monument was erected in 1834 and features a square-plan design made of polished ashlar. It has a corniced pedestal sitting on a stepped plinth. The capping stone curves to meet the square base of a pyramidal cap. The monument is inscribed on the northwest and southeast faces, and it has modern bronze plaques recessed into the stone that bear the same inscriptions. The monument is enclosed by fleur-de-lis cast iron railings.
