Description

Glenapp Church is an attractive little Gothic church built in 1849 and subsequently renovated in 1909 and 1930. The 1909 restoration was undertaken by P. McGregor Chalmers, and further alterations in 1930 were carried out by T. McGill Cassells, an architect from Ayr. These 1930 alterations included raising the arch and adding a dome, as well as installing new windows manufactured by Kelly & Co. of London. The church also received new seating and a new porch during the 1930 renovations. Later additions include two windows by D. Strachen. The church is formally known as Church of the Mark.
