Description

The Old Post Office, formerly known as The Auld Posthouse, is a mid-19th century building of two storeys. Constructed with granite snecked with whin, it features ashlar dressings and quoins. The front facade has three bays, with a wide central door flanked by two bipartite windows. Above, there are three windows with long and short ashlar dressings. The roof is piended and covered in slate, with brick end stacks. A three-window side elevation includes a central door. The statutory address was changed to 2 Burnside Row in 2011.
