Description

The Western Range, Stables at Glendouglas is a small Georgian country house built around 1805, originally intended for the factor of the Hamilton estate. The building is constructed of ashlar and features two storeys above a raised basement, with three windows that include astragals. It has a low parapet and slate roofs. The entrance is marked by a narrow pediment and a pilastered doorway, which is topped with a fanlight and accessed by a flight of steps. To the side of the house, there is a conservatory, and extensive stabling is located at the rear.
