3 Brieryhill Cottages, Brieryhill

2 Brieryhill Cottages is a group of three cottages built in the later 19th century, with some later alterations. They are located to the north of a house and to the east of a bridge. The cottages are single storey with an attic and feature a symmetrical design with nine bays, remaining largely unaltered and reflecting a traditional style. The exterior is constructed from stugged squared and snecked sandstone, with droved ashlar dressings. Each outer bay of the principal southwest elevation has a window, with an attic window that breaks the eaves. The penultimate bays and the center have boarded doors topped with 2-pane rectangular fanlights. The center gabled section is flanked by two-bay groups, each with windows on the ground and first floors. At the rear of each cottage, there is a harled single storey addition. The principal elevation features 8-pane timber sash and case windows, and the cottages have a slate roof with brick mutual stacks and wallheads.
