Description

Southdean Bridge is an early 19th-century structure featuring a single segmental arch that spans the Jed Water. The bridge has wing walls that step out on each side of the arch and are finished with square piers. It is constructed from neatly squared sandstone rubble, with polished ashlar voussoirs. There are string courses above the voussoirs and at the base of the parapet, which is topped with ashlar coping.
