Description
1 Mossburnford Cottages is a terrace of five single-storey and attic cottages built in the earlier 19th century, constructed from cream sandstone. Each cottage features a boarded door with a letterbox fanlight to the right and a narrow window to the left. Above the window, there is an original catslide wallhead dormer that breaks the eaves, along with a cast-iron rooflight to the right. The end gables are blank, and each cottage has a stack on the south gable. The rear elevations include a projecting flat-roofed closet to the right and a bipartite box-dormer to the left. The cottages have 8-pane timber sash and case windows, with 12-lying-pane windows in the front dormers. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and there are stone stacks.
