Description
Late 18th century, with later alterations. Adapted single and
2-storey L-plan range surviving from former U-plan farmstead. Cream rubble sandstone with droved ashlar dressings; boarded doors; grey slates.
N RANGE: 2-storey 4-bay piend-roofed stables and hay-loft sited on falling ground. Courtyard elevation with pair of broad blocked segmental arches to left; 3 doors and 1 window at ground, 1 door and 1 window above. End elevations with window to W and blocked beeboles (?) to E. Outer elevation with door and 2 windows at ground; 2 doors and 4 ventilation slits to loft; brick wallhead stack. Fixed small-pane upper windows over louvred lower sections.
E RANGE: single storey 2-bay piend-roofed bothy with ridge ventilator. Courtyard elevation with door and flanking windows toright, door blocked as window to left. Other elevations blank. To immediate S, detached single storey piend-roofed garage with 2-leaf doors to E. Mounting block to right of door.
S RANGE AND WALLED GARDEN: ruins adjoining coped N wall of garden to S of steading.
